Alfalfa House Co-operative is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  This includes fulfilling our obligations in dealing with your personal data and ensuring that our co-operative complies with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988. These Principles govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, store, disclose and use personal data about you when you join as a member, shop with us or otherwise provide your personal data to us. 

What  Personal information do we collect  and why?

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you. Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and shopping data for our internal analytics, reporting and marketing purposes. 

How do we collect this information?

  • Become a member, online or in store

  • Purchase products or services in store 

  • Take part in promotions, workshops, and customer surveys

  • Contact us in relation to customer service, or your membership

  • Use Alfalfa House social media channels

  • To maintain and operate your membership of the co-operative

  • To manage membership discounts, and provide vouchers 

  • To communicate with you in relation to your membership including providing notice of General Meetings and important updates - by post, phone, SMS and email
