Volunteers code of conduct

The Code of Conduct Policy is applicable to all volunteers and sets out is the appropriate standard of behaviour at Alfalfa House for all volunteers when working at the co-op.

  1. Alfalfa House has the right to expect that all volunteers will conduct themselves in a manner that observes the strictest honesty and integrity.
  2. Volunteers are expected to be respectful of and polite to all other staff, members and customers.
  3. Volunteers are to wash their hands on commencing their shift and when necessary.
  4. Volunteers are to wear gloves when handling confectionary or any other food with their hands.
  5. Volunteers are to be clean and tidy and must wear enclosed shoes.
  6. Volunteers are to be accepting of others differences and are not to discriminate against others in any way, e.g. gossiping, behaviour that excludes others, etc.
  7. Volunteers are to follow all relevant WH&S procedures when working at the co-op.
  8. Volunteers are welcome to make themselves a cup of tea after their shift (but please work the two hours you have committed to for a 20% discount as your valuable time is essential to the successful running of the Co-Op.)
